So, welcome to Sävy’s first blog. To test out the waters and get our fingers wet before jumping in to a rich and vibrant blogging culture at Sävy, we'll keep this short and sweet. For blog one, we'll touch on the subject of social media. Yes, we know the stats are in and those who tweet compared to those unTwittered have exponentially healthier social profiles flourishing amidst a sea of like-minded socialites. Thus I won't touch on Twitter as a customer service tool, although it can be a unique and rather effective one, nor as a means of promotion, because as any happy tweeter will tell you, which is really the holy grail of social networking, don't sell.

So from this framework, we can confidently say Twittering as a means of plain old, pure and simple brand recognition and awareness is a neat way to go. It seems the more people tweet the more they meet and the more saturated they become in the market, providing an increased ability to gain top of mind awareness. With tools such as Twitter Search, Twitter Local and Twello, the potential to garner enhanced trust, recognition and affinity with an active and happily twittered brand does exist. The doors have opened to this brave new micro culture, so connect, grow your network, and don't forget to ask "what's next" and repeat.
